Low Leaf

Low Leaf performed an electronic based set at the Hi Hat in Highland park during Airplane Mode featuring visuals produced by Stranger Liquids. I first saw Low Leaf at The Last Bookstore in LA years ago and always admired the fluidity with her fingers between her harp strings mixed in with her electronic beats and spirituality. It's a mix I've grown to love as I've heard her music grow through a number of different albums. I never had a chance to see her live again since so when the opportunity came up, my girlfriend and I took the chance right after seeing Robaflor just a few blocks away the same night! Low Leaf really seemed to vibe with the beats and let herself dive right into it. There was a moment where I heard a recorded monologue in her set speaking about nature. I cant remember the exact speech but it's here where I really feel and connect. Life always seems to be evolving and changing and through her meditative mindfulness, I find a sense of peace and understanding that is really hard to find in music. Learning to grow and let life bloom has been an interesting journey and to hear that being expressed through another individuals music is wonderful feeling that will always inspire me.
